Baat hai 25th September 2013 ki..Wo din jo shayad main zindagi bhar nahi bhool paungi..Hua kuch yun ki 1 of my best friends & I went to donate blood..

Wo do bar shayad pehle bhi blood donate kar chuka tha but mera first time tha..Usse pucha ki "Will anyone get to know? chot lagti hai kya?? then he replied.."Nahi. Even u won't come to know..bus cheeti kaat ti hai.." I couldn't understand whether I should tell my parents about it or not as my exams were close & how will they react to it so I thought of testing the field first..

Pehle socha ki kisi friend ko batate hai..Ek friend ko bataya ki blood donate karne ja rahe hai then he told about one of his friends who donated blood & couldn't walk properly after that..He said "Devika, tum pagal ho gayi ho kya..?, tumhe sari nautanki exam k time pe hi karni hai..?"

Ghar pe ainvei hi kaha ki bahut din se soch rahe hai blood donate karne ki toh reaction mila ki "exam de lo..fir karna donate blood.." Par hum toh thaire mahapagal..kabhi suni hai kisi ki jo aaj sunte.. Then I decided that I won't tell anyone except my friends & went to donate blood secretly..

24th September ki raat neend ka door door tak koi naam-o -nishaan nahi tha.. Finally, subah hui..ghar pe bola ki I will be going out with some of my friends for a movie n shaam tak aa jayenge.. My friend picked me up from a few blocks away from my home & we were on the way to Sahara Hospital to donate blood..something that I always wanted to do but I couldn't have done it alone shayad..I was over-excited , had mixed feelings- dar bhi & khushi bhi & my heart was racing fast..multiple reasons behind that.
I was curious as always & asked him all sorts of childish questions ki "kya blood donate karne se weight kam hota hai ? Aisa ho toh saal me 4-5 bar kar de ja k..Ek panth do kaaj.. " He started laughing & said "Nahi,weight nahi kam hota issey.." Then we reached the Blood Department of Sahara Hospital.

We were given a form in which we had to give our personal & health details..Address bhi dusre frnd ka dia..Waha samne kuch posters the..On one poster , there was a vase with a red liquid with some flowers in it..He said "Dekh, tere khoon me ye log flowers lagayenge.."

I asked him ki "kitna blood lenge ? " Then he was tired of my questions & replied "jab tak tum yaha zameen pe nahi gir jaogi, tab tak ye log tumhara blood nikaalte rahenge.."

Everybody who was looking at us started laughing..waha kaafi log hume pehchaan gaye the...Meri shakl dekh k toh waise bhi pata chal hi raha tha ki mera first time hai..Fir we were called in to measure Blood Pressure & Pulse Rate..

My Pulse Rate was 99. The lab attendant asked me "aapka pulse rate bahut zyada hai..first time hai kya?" I said " Ji haan..aapne bhi kabhi pehli baar B.P. measure kia hoga..ab koi upar se toh seekh k aata nahi. "
We were given foot gloves..shape toh uska hand gloves ki tarah hi tha..(I know I will appear foolish)..Ab hume samajh nahi aaya ki gloves shoes k upar pehanne hai ya unhe utaar k..fir guard ko dekha toh pata laga.. Then our names were called out & we had to go to the lab to donate blood..

Ek syringe lagayi hath me..gave us a soft ball (layman ki bhasha me) which we had to keep on pressing so that it doesn't pain..

Ek tv tha jispe Veena Malik k photo shoots aa rhe the..hum hairaan reh gaye ki ye hospital me logo ka mind divert karne k liye kya-2 dikhaate hai.. Fir we were given Real Fruit juice..Us din saala din hi kharab tha..Juice ka packet feka bhi toh gloves wali dustbin me..Guard bhaga mere piche toh usey nikaal k dusri dustbin me daala...Ab I didn't knw about it..n my friend didn't tell me..He was just sitting & enjoying the whole incident.. Mera mazaak ban raha tha aur wo Real Fruit Juice k maze le raha tha..

kasam se bada mazaak bana us din..bole toh Public Insult ho gayi by God..Usse bola ki bataya kyu nahi then he said " kya kya batau tumhe.."
Fir 2 din tak band-aid chupaya jo haath pe lagaya tha full sleeves k kapde pehan kar..

Whenever I remember this incident, a smile appears on my face & I just can't stop smiling & the feeling after donating blood is just out of the world..We really feel like we have done something in life..Helping people is always nice & if u help them selflessly then the feeling is just awesome..Without him, I don't think I could have done that so hats off to him..
